I think I first performed at the age of 3 with my Hindustani teacher during a Durga Puja festival in Jamshedpur. I enjoyed it immensely and have since always been fond of the stage. I sing a variety of languages and styles, ranging from my Carnatic and Hindustani roots, Indian folk to western contemporary, jazz, blues, and pop. I have a band called Bamboo Beatniks, with a brilliant guitarist and friend, Ronee Roy.
